Vishal Jajodia
Founder
Mr. Vishal Jajodia is the new age social entrepreneur specializing in areas of neglected and orphan diseases. He has 28 years of experience in the industry and has held important positions in export promotion councils under the ministry of commerce and has participated in policy forming committees. As Founder of ASWM Mr. Vishal Jajodia is committed to initiating waste management practices in Alibaug.
Hansu Pardiwala
Director
Hansu Pardiwala is a Waste Management professional and the founder of Har Ghar Hara Ghar, a Social Enterprise. She has spent almost 5 years in the field of Waste Management and has recently moved into the space of Waste Management Training and spreading awareness on the different streams of waste and their safe collection, disposal and treatment.
Rosalind Pereira
Director
Rosalind Pereira, owner and lead designer of Mayabazaar, a company which specializes in handcrafted jewelry and reviving related traditional crafts. She has completed her masters in Development, from Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai. Her wadi is in Nandgaon, where she has initiated a few social initiatives, prominent among them is to work with a local school in the area of nutrition, plastic collection and recycling and augmenting English fluency.
Vivek Bhojwani
Co-Founder
Vivek Bhojwani holds Masters in Environment science and technology, he has experience working with the informal sector focused on managing wet waste in an urban scenario. His ideal understanding is that to achieve urban sustainability; it is possible with not only public awareness and effective urban planning but involving, collaborating, and empowering everyday people.

ASWM focuses on the connection between societal and economic progress; we measure success by our ability to create shared value, not just a social benefit. Our vision is for all communities to commit to environmental sustainability, social equity and development of the marginalized sections of society.
Our Mission
Our mission is to utilize our skills, resources and management capability to lead social progress. This includes managing a dry waste recycling facility, organizing drives and awareness campaigns, procurement and installation of machinery, and training of waste pickers.
ASWM Events
- 24th April 2018: Meeting at Vishal Jajodia’ s farmhouse with a group of Alibaug homeowners who were interested in this issue of the Waste Management in Alibaug villages.
- November 2018 to June 2019: Pilot Project at Mapgaon Panchayat led by Ms. Hansu Pardiwala (current Director ASWM)
- July 2018: Formed Alibaug Solid Waste Management Association, with an objective of setting up a sustainable waste management system.
- 7th August 2018: Meeting at Bombay Management Association with Alibaug homeowners regarding formation of Alibaug Solid Waste Management Association.
- 5th May 2019: Meeting with Parhurpada Sarpanch Mr. Praful Patil, discussion on prospective waste management project ASWM.
- 8th June 2019: Meeting with Mr. Abhijeet Rane, Awas gaon sarpanch on prospective collaboration waste management project ASWM.
- 17th September, 11th November, 27th December 2019: Several meetings with Deputy CEO VP, Raigad – Ms. Sheetal Pund and Ms. Hansu Pardiwala (Director ASWM).
- 29th December 2020: Meeting at Zilla Parishad office with COO, IAS Dr. Kiran Patil and Mr. Dilip Bhoir, Samaj Kalyan Sabhapati.
- 13th – 14th January 2021: Meeting at Zilla Parishad office with COO, IAS Dr. Kiran Patil and Gaikwad (Asst) with ASWM team.
- 8-9th March 2021: Solid Waste Management Site Visit at BEIL Infrastructure – Ankleshwar & Ahmedabad.
- 1st April 2021: Meeting at Zilla Parishad Office Mr. Gaikwad (asst), Mr. Salvankar and village sarpanch of Dhokawade along with block development officer Mr. Deepti Deshmukh – To review potential site for establishment of pilot plant for ASWM.
- 9th June 2021: Zoom meeting regarding update of land with COO, IAS Dr. Kiran Patil and ASWM Team.
- 10th August 2021: Attempted meeting with IAS Nidhi Choudhary followed by meeting with Additional Commissioner Amol Yadhav, and Tahsildar, Mr. Sachin Sejal.
- 23rd September 2021: ASWM Team meeting with IAS Nidhi Choudhary elaborating on journey and struggle of ASWMA over last 2 years.
- 9th-10th October 2021: ASWM Team meeting with Mapgaon, Dhokawade Sarpanch at Mr. Salvankar’s office. Discussions with Ecosattva on prospective collaboration opportunity with Mr. Atul Joshi & Mr. Santosh Rakhemallu.
- 8th November 2021: Indirect engagement with Dr. Mahendra Kalyankar, I.A.S, District collector of Raigad with ASWM founders.
- 30th December 2021: Meeting with Kihim Panchayat Sarpanch, Ms. Seema Thale and committee members for potential land inspection (total 3 locations).
- 29th January 2022: Alliance with Ms. Rosalind, beach-clean up, waste collection survey in Kashid and Nandgaon – Under Project AMHI.
