About ASWM

Alibaug Solid Waste Management Association (ASWM) is a Section 8 Company founded in 2018. Our objective is to establish a dedicated waste management facility for Alibaug since the villages are unable to establish any robust, viable and sustainable infrastructure on Solid Waste Management. The proof is in the burning of garbage and scattered garbage all around villages and abandoned spots.

ASWM focuses on the connection between societal and economic progress; we measure success by our ability to create shared value, not just a social benefit. Our mission is to utilize our skills, resources and management capability to lead social progress. This includes managing a dry waste recycling facility, organizing drives and awareness campaigns, procurement and installation of machinery, and training of waste pickers.
